Who we are
DrNEET is a study app for NEET Biology and Chemistry that provides theory, MCQs, and spaced-repetition flashcards.
Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, profile photo and an ID when you sign in with Google.
- App usage & progress: chapters/topics completed, flashcard reviews and ratings (remembered/forgot), review schedule, streaks, timestamps.
- Device & diagnostics: device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, and basic analytics events.
- Notifications: a push token if you enable reminders.
- Support messages: any info you send us by email or in-app.
How we use your information
- To let you sign in, keep you logged in, and sync your progress across devices.
- To schedule spaced-repetition reminders and show your due flashcards.
- To improve reliability and content quality via anonymous analytics and crash reports.
- To communicate important updates and respond to support.
We do not sell your data or show third-party ads.
Legal bases (where applicable)
Consent (notifications/analytics), performance of a contract (provide the app), and legitimate interests (security, debugging, preventing abuse).
Storage & retention
- On-device data is stored locally (e.g., Realm).
- Cloud data (for sync/auth/analytics) may be processed by Google Firebase services and similar processors.
- Data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we erase or anonymize associated personal data except where law requires retention.
Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers that process it for us:
- Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore/Storage, Analytics/Crashlytics, Cloud Functions)
- Email/support tools as needed
These providers are bound by contracts and security obligations. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect users and our services.
International transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country (e.g., in the US). We apply reasonable safeguards and encryption in transit.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can withdraw consent for notifications/analytics anytime in system settings or by contacting us. To exercise rights, email kamal@drneet.app.
Children
DrNEET is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 used DrNEET and provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard protections (encryption in transit, access controls). No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page for future changes and adjust the "Effective date".

Data deletion
You can request deletion of your DrNEET account and associated personal data at any time.
Email kamal@drneet.app with the subject "Delete my DrNEET account" from your signed-in Google email address. We will delete account data (auth profile, progress, flashcard history, notifications token) within 7 business days and confirm by reply.
If you re-install or sign in again after deletion, a new account will be created.
